In my effort to promote alliances between public and private sector for mutual social responsibility and just to promote more ‘good’ in the world I helped to re-launch The World’s First Ocean Registry. With the Gulf Oil Spill of April 2010 it seems that getting involved in this project was the right thing to do!

The idea and vision for The Ocean Registry came from Lina Virzintas, a school teacher and mother of two. Her dream was to help people feel closer to the ocean, regardless of where they live, and help them recognize that the ocean is the lifeblood of our planet and we are all linked to it. The Ocean Registry is a creative and unique gift idea which can also bring about positive change on our planet by raising awareness of the importance of the ocean in all our lives.
